EMDR Therapy

Processing trauma at its root.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based therapy for PTSD and trauma that uses bilateral stimulation to help the brain process distressing memories. Recommended by the WHO, VA, and American Psychiatric Association, EMDR produces rapid and lasting results for trauma survivors without requiring detailed verbal narration of traumatic events.

Questions

Frequently asked.

Do I have to talk about my trauma in detail?+

No. EMDR does not require detailed verbal narration. The processing happens through the bilateral stimulation technique, not through talking about the event.

How quickly does EMDR work?+

Many patients notice significant relief within 6–12 sessions for single-incident trauma. Complex or developmental trauma may take longer.

Is EMDR covered by insurance?+

We are out-of-network. Many patients successfully seek reimbursement for EMDR through their insurance superbill.
