Common Questions
Frequently asked about Anxiety.
What is the difference between anxiety and an anxiety disorder?+
Anxiety is a normal response to stress. An anxiety disorder is diagnosed when anxiety becomes persistent, disproportionate, and begins to interfere with daily functioning.
Can anxiety be treated without medication?+
Yes. Many patients respond well to therapy alone, particularly CBT. Medication is available for those who benefit from it and is always discussed in a collaborative, informed way.
Do you treat OCD and panic disorder?+
Yes. Our clinicians are trained in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD and have specific expertise in panic disorder, social anxiety, and generalized anxiety disorder.
